Dr. Hirshorn went to medical school and public health school at USF College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. He completed his Orthopaedic training at Atlanta Medical Center. Dr. Hirshorn also completed additional specialty fellowship training in minimally-invasive hip and knee replacement surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

Dr. Hirshorn has worked with the leaders in the field of joint replacement surgery, minimally-invasive surgery, implant design and testing. He has also worked as an assistant team physician for the Atlanta Falcons and Thrashers.

Dr. Hirshorn grew up in Tampa, Florida.

His Doctorate of Medicine degree was earned from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. He completed his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Atlanta Medical Center in Georgia.

He has a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroplasty from Triangle Orthopaedic Associates in Durham, NC and in Foot and Ankle Surgery from Middlemore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand.

She earned her Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. Dr. Burns’ internship was served at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Dr. Burns is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management and has received advanced certifications in Interventional Pain Techniques.

He earned his Doctorate of Medicine degree at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. Dr. Swiggett completed his internship in Orthopaedic and General Surgery at Tufts New England Medical Center and his residency at New England Baptist Hospital, both in Boston, MA.

He has served as Chief of Surgery at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL and has held the position of Chief of Surgery at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH and Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.

He received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. Dr. Canizares served his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI.

He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at South Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Coral Gables, FL.

He was selected to the NFL Neutral Physician Examiners Panel and served as the team doctor for the Miami Heat and Miami Sol. Dr. Canizares was instrumental in the development of the sports medicine program at All Florida Orthopaedic Associates and several Pinellas County high schools and colleges. He has also traveled with several professional sports teams as the team physician.

Dr. Davis is currently Chief of Surgery at Edward White Hospital, having served as the Chief of the Division of Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery at Bayfront Medical Center for over 10 years.

He is well known in the Tampa Bay area for his extensive experience in the treatment of complex spinal disorders.

He received his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois, Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine in Chicago. His categorical orthopaedic internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery were completed at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

Dr. Lowry is Chief of Orthopaedics and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Team at Bayfront Medical Center, as well as Chief of Orthopaedics at St. Anthony’s Hospital.

Dr. Bolhofner received his Doctorate of Medicine degree and served his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. Areas of trauma related interests include fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, articular and periarticular fractures, non-union, malunion, deformity, bone loss, infection and limb length discrepancy. Additional areas of professional interest include adult arthritis and reconstructive surgery and joint preserving surgery of the hip. Specifically, this includes primary and revision joint replacement, hip dysplasia, femoral/acetabular hip impingement and arthroscopic surgery of the hip.

He is fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma from the Association for the Study of Internal Fixation in Bern, Switzerland.

Dr. Bolhofner has remained dedicated to the orthopaedic surgical care of the severely injured throughout his career and continues to serve as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Services at Bayfront Medical Center.

He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Team at Bayfront Medical Center and the Surgical Evaluation Team at Northside Hospital. He was a team physician for the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Rays.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. He did his internship and general surgery training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his orthopaedic training at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Smith has earned a well-deserved reputation as a leading specialist in Sports Medicine and Total Joint Replacement. He has been the team physician for many professional, collegiate, and Olympic teams. He served as the team physician for the Tampa Bay Storm Arena Football League. He has been the orthopaedic consultant for the St Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, and the Cleveland Indians baseball teams. Dr. Smith was Chief Physician for the Women’s Olympic Basketball team at the Goodwill Games in Moscow, Russia, and for the US Women’s Olympic Basketball Team during the Trials in Colorado Springs.
