He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology as Cum Laude from Tufts University in Medford, MA. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX.

Michael L. Rothberg, M.D. did his internship in General Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He also worked in the Shock Trauma Hospital at Baltimore, MD. He did his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at the Orthopaedic Institute in New York, NY. Michael L. Rothberg, M.D. completed his fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. He also completed an externship in Surgical and nonoperative treatment of rheumatoid deformities of the hand at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA under Dr. Edward Nalebuff and Dr. Lewis Millender.

Peter Lopez, M.D.

Peter Lopez, M.D.

He is a graduate of The University of Connecticut Medical School. He completed a general surgery internship at Columbia University and his orthopedic residency (at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center) in New York. He completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (Board Certified), is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons in addition to Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Lopez was recertified in 2009.

He joined Brandon Orthopedic Associates, in 1999. Dr. Lopez specializes in Hand Surgery as well as general orthopedics. He is an expert in the treatment of complex traumatic and degenerative upper extremity conditions, and has a particular interest in Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair, and Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release. He is one of a few surgeons around the country performing Arthroscopic Thumb (CMC) Arthroplasty.

His Doctorate of Medicine degree was earned from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Rodriguez served his internship and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta.

His fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery was completed at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

He is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Team at Bayfront Medical Center and the Surgical Evaluation Team at Northside Hospital. He was a team physician for the Atlanta Hawks, the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Rays.

Anthony L. Marcotte, D.O.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Chemistry from University of Illinois – Urbana in 1999. He then attended medical school at Midwestern University –Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downer’s Grove, Illinois, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2003, as class Salutatorian.

Dr. Marcotte completed his Internship and Orthopaedic Residency programs at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center, Ohio University, in Dayton, Ohio. He was nationally honored with the Merck Outstanding Resident of the Year Award during his chief year. Dr. Marcotte fulfilled three resident externships in hand surgery at Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis; Philadelphia Hand Center in Philadelphia; and Hand Surgery Specialists in Cincinnati, Ohio. He subsequently finished a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston in 2009.

He is an associate professor for the Largo Medical Center Orthopaedic Residency, Morton Plant Mease Family Medicine Residency, and Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Programs through the University of South Florida. Dr. Marcotte has privileges at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL and Largo Medical Center in Largo, FL. He has been serving as a team physician to the Philadelphia Phillies since 2009.
